BEHRINGER has released a much-anticipated X32 Firmware and Application Software Update V 3.0, consolidating the new versions of the X32-Edit (PC/Mac/Linux/RPi) and X32-Mix (iPad) remote control apps, bringing major performance enhancements to the X32 operating system. Free remote-control software called XRemote for Windows (with a Mac version to follow) will shortly be available on the Behringer web site, and a free iOS app to control the X32 from an iPad is also imminent. In this live broadcast, we will show you how to setup your X32 Digital Console for wireless remote control via your iPad or PC/Mac/Linux computer.

XControl is a free download and is available directly from BEHRINGER. The XControl application replicates the X32 control surface with all faders, display screens and major controls right on the desktop. Operators can control mix and assign functions, set and adjust effects and even meter individual inputs and outputs in real time.


I understand the frustration, believe me! Though I own a X32 Compact, here are some answers to your questions, by number, that I hope will help:


1. You do not keep changing the routing.

2. To hear each track separately thru the X32, in Logic Pro you must set each track's output to a mono output (1-32). When you do this, then each track will come thru the faders on the left hand side of the X32. By pushing the buttons on the board that move you thru blocks of 8 incoming signals, you can hear them all. When you've got this going then you just have to push the 'select' button for any given channel, and can adjust panning, FX, etc.for each channel

3. I haven't done a mixdown from the board yet, but I believe you need to do the following: Go to 'routing' then 'aux out' and choose which aux you want, e.g. 'aux 1' assigned to 'main left' and 'aux 2' to 'main right'. In the last column in this screen you have, amongst others, the choice to choose post-fader. Now run cables from the aux channels you've chosen on the back of the X32 to your recording device.
